A Family Health Seminar

Burnside Community Centre
Corner Greenhill & Portrush Roads
7 - 10pm Wednesday March 28, 2007

Featuring Speakers:

Peter Taubert (Researcher, Author and Public speaker) – for all of those people who are concerned about the thousands of chemicals that are added to the foods that they eat and the cosmetic or personal care products that they use.

Peter has a Diploma of Teaching and has lectured for 28 years in the fields of Metal fabrication, Computing and Occupational Health Safety and Welfare. After becoming alarmed at the effects of food colouring on his asthmatic daughter nearly 30 years ago, he now specialises in gathering and disseminating information regarding chemicals in consumer products. Since retiring from TAFE in 1997 he has committed the bulk of his time to publishing various works on chemicals that have the potential to harm people, and established a very successful national lecture circuit.

Peter’s lectures have stirred many people to make changes that have improved their health and quality of life. His published works include: Your Health and Food Additives (now in its 7th edition); Silent Killers - more than you paid for!; and Read the Label Know the Risks.

Kathy Scarborough (VISA President and author of Investigate Before You Vaccinate) – with up to date information on vaccines, including Cervical Cancer Vaccines.

In 2007 Vaccination Information South Australia celebrates 10 years of serving the community with factual information about vaccines and promoting informed choice. As President, Kathy has voluntarily given her time to answer the enquiries of concerned parents and others, produced a quarterly newsletter and updated her information booklet, Investigate Before You Vaccinate – a guide for parents, which is distributed Australia-wide and popular with natural therapists of all kinds. Kathy has also given many talks and lectures over the years on this subject.

As a mother of four girls herself, Kathy understands the pressures faced by parents making a decision about vaccination. Her background in science, particularly pharmacology prompted this long term commitment to educating and supporting others. This lecture will include the latest research on all vaccines including the newly funded vaccine for cervical cancer.

$10 a ticket or $8 concession. Bookings preferred, ring 8336 5236. To find out more about VISA go to www.visainfo.org.au.
