CFS and childhood trauma

Thursday November 23, 2006

FlowersWe post the following links with a warning: many of our members may become angry when they read about the research.

Basically, there is research about at the moment which suggests a link between childhood trauma and the likelihood of developing CFS as a child.

As a caring parent of a child with CFS, you may be angered by this. We bring it to your attention with the usual disclaimers and with the attitude that, for those who want to know why we are showing a link to a “psychiatric” article, it is always better to know what the “opposition” is thinking. Forewarned is indeed always forearmed:

Archives of General Psychiatry: Early Adverse Experience and Risk for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (external link)
