Volunteers wanted for carnitine study

Friday November 24, 2006

Sansom InstituteThe Sansom Institute, from within the University of South Australia, is calling for volunteers to help with a study.

A research group from the Institute is currently studying carnitine, a compound found in the body that is involved in energy production.

Previous studies have indicated that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome may be related to disrupted carnitine levels.

The research group would like to investigate this further and start off by conducting a study in which the group collects a single blood sample from patients to measure carnitine levels.

Interested patients are asked to email Stephanie Reuter, a member of the group.

Please let Stephanie know if you are interested in being involved – it would be greatly appreciated.

Please feel free to contact Stephanie if you have any questions:
