CFS feature on Nightlife with Tony DelroyWednesday 30 May 2007
Here’s a note from Jim Chambers (Victoria) who set it up: All, Just to advise that Tony Delroy will be doing a special on ME/CFS next Monday beginning around 10:10pm – after the news. The show is aired live through local ABC radio to every State and can be streamed via the ABC website [here]. The current arrangement is for Tony to do a pre-recorded interview with Helen James and her mother (who appeared on the JTV clip) followed by a 15-20 minute live interview with Colin Neathercote and Dr Pervan from the ABC Perth studio. The interview will then be opened to talk back for a further 20-30 minutes. We are grateful to Dr Pervan who already has a radio interview on ABC Radio Perth 720 on the 4th June and is happy to go the extra mile for this interview. This arrangement was facilitated due to our contacts with the show and the extraordinary reaction to both the JTV clip and the Tonya Roberts interview on Sat 19 May, set up by Susi Brookes. I understand 774 ABC Melbourne ran hot with feedback and thanks from ME/CFS sufferers and carers last week. Don’t forget that these can both be accessed from the SA website. This interview has been under discussion for some weeks. And has only come about thanks to excellent co-operation across the country by the National Association network to meet all the requests of Tony’s producer. Thanks especially to Ferdinand Guba, Colin Neathercote, Simon Molesworth and Peter Cahalan. The contact numbers are: |
