MCS meeting

Members who have expressed interest in being part of our lobbying activities on chemical sensitivity issues may be interested in a meeting coming up this Friday 27 July. It’s to be at DIRC, 195 Gilles St at 1:30pm.

I’m very pleased that a couple of staff members from the Australian Democrats have said they’d like to sit in, having heard about it. This is an example of how even small groups like ours can get themselves heard in the political process. And this is definitely a period when honing your political skills will come in handy as the year progresses.
This is not a seminar or lecture. It’s an informal discussion. It’s action focused. But don’t worry – if you attend you won’t be shanghaied into taking on any jobs! We’d be happy to have people there who just want to get up to speed on the issues.
It’d help if you let us know via the society – sacfs@sacfs.asn.au - if you’re planning to come.
No reminders needed, we hope, that people attending should not wear fragrances nor smoke before joining the meeting!!
