Healthy female volunteers needed for research project

Thursday 23 August 2007

Flowers We can’t recall if we’ve previously advertised an important research project being undertaken here in South Australia. Dr Richard Burnet, Deputy Director of Enocrinology at Royal Adelaide Hospital, is researching the topic of “Autonomic dysfunction in people with ME/CFS”. He tells us he has a good supply of people with ME/CFS and of healthy males for his control group, but he still needs twelve more women between the ages of 18 and 45.

Volunteers will have a 24-hour blood pressure monitor test, an MRI scan and an hour’s testing for autonomic functioning.

We’re keenly supportive of this project. Dr Burnet has been closely involved with the Society over many years. Give him your support by enlisting.

You can contact the project team via Damien on 0438 895 429.
