19 October 2007 Mrs Lynda Brett Dear Mrs Brett Thank you for your letter seeking support for sufferers of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). Also thank you for alerting me to the number of ME/CFS sufferers residing in Boothby. I would be pleased to support the ME/CFS Society in their quest for a list of doctors who specialize in the treatment of ME/CFS. I would suggest you pursue this matter after the Federal election as the Government is now in caretaker mode. In the meantime, I have enclosed information from the National Health and Medical Research Council, which you may be aware supports health and medical research and refer you to the toll-free number for information on project grants.
