Friday 9 November 2007

Dr Andrew Southcott MP Dr Andrew Southcott MP (pictured) has responded again to Polly Chaser Lynda Brett after she wrote to him about his first reply.

Here’s a chronology of the correspondence so far:

2/11/07: Dr Andrew Southcott MP’s response to Lynda Brett’s first letter

5/11/07: Lynda Brett’s second letter to Dr Andrew Southcott MP

9/11/07: Dr Andrew Southcott MP’s second response to Lynda Brett [this page]

And here’s Dr Andrew Southcott MP’s second response:

19 October 2007

Mrs Lynda Brett
[address removed]

Dear Mrs Brett

Thank you for your letter seeking support for sufferers of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS).

Also thank you for alerting me to the number of ME/CFS sufferers residing in Boothby. I would be pleased to support the ME/CFS Society in their quest for a list of doctors who specialize in the treatment of ME/CFS. I would suggest you pursue this matter after the Federal election as the Government is now in caretaker mode.

In the meantime, I have enclosed information from the National Health and Medical Research Council, which you may be aware supports health and medical research and refer you to the toll-free number for information on project grants.

Yours sincerely

Dr Andrew Southcott MP
Federal Member for Boothby
