World ME & FM Prayer and Meditation Day

Sunday 30 March 2008

We've had a message from the founder of The World M.E. & F.M. Prayer and Meditation Day:

World ME & FM Prayer and Meditation DayWORLD ME & FM PRAYER AND MEDITATION DAY

Welcome! Bienvenido! Bienvenue! Willkommen!

~ Welcome to the official website for the World M.E. and Fibromyalgia Prayer and Meditation Day! We hope you enjoy your visit ~

About the World M.E. & F.M. Prayer & Meditation Day

The first World M.E. & Fibromyalgia Prayer and Meditation Day took place on 7 September 2007, in England. The purpose of the event is to create a multifaith global link, supporting those around the world living with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome, Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic or reactivated Epstein Barr virus, Fibromyalgia Syndrome and related or accompanying conditions. To bring to them comfort, aid, healing, peace, joy and love; in whatever form is right for their Highest Good at the time.

Our event is also fondly known as The Time2link (it rolls off the tongue a little easier than the full event name).

The Time2link takes place on the first Monday of every month between 12 noon and 12.30, whichever time zone you reside in; or at any other time during this day if noon is unsuitable for you. An additional event is held on International M.E. & Fibromyalgia Awareness Day on 12 May. We celebrate our birthday every September.

The 'time2link' is a wonderful opportunity to support a friend, family member, or neighbour using the amazing power of prayer and positive thought. It is also an opportunity to reach out to those unknown to you across the earth, who may be feeling alone and isolated or frightened by their symptoms and the impact of their illness on their life. A special time to pray for the members of this network, the global M.E. and F.M.S. community and beyond ...for all, living with an invisible or chronic illness and beyond...for every living being on earth.

"Good works are links that form a chain of love"
Mother Theresa

You are warmly invited to join our special multifaith support family, by linking-in using whatever means you feel drawn to. For example through prayer, meditation, ritual, visualisation, or even by simply making a wish. There is no need to register and you can link-in from the comfort of your own home, or wherever you happen to be. Your positive thoughts and intention are needed during our 'time2link', even if you can only manage a few minutes. Experienced meditators may wish to link-in for longer than the suggested 30 minutes.

Additionally, you may appreciate the opportunity to participate in the event at other times during the day, perhaps early morning or evening, co-ordinating with other timezones, as the ripples of prayer traverse the globe. Visit the Time and Date World Clock to check local times for other bioregions and convert times for current and future dates.

This inter-faith event welcomes participants from all religious and spiritual traditions, philosophers, free-thinkers and secularists. It is a time to set aside our differences, in the knowledge that we all share similar symptoms with our health conditions and 'wish each other well'. Just by linking-in, your thoughts and prayers will add to the input from others connecting to the network on this day and together we will generate a wonderful healing wave that radiates out into the world...like a lighthouse, that beams out a sweeping light signal and helps to guide each individual on their health journey.
