Canberra Society calling for donations

Our friends in Canberra, the ACT ME/CFS Society Inc, are calling upon the Christmas cheer of their fellow man by asking for donations to its Society:
ME/CFS Christmas appeal
“Estimates suggest that up to 25% of people with ME/CFS are so seriously affected that they are unable to perform most basic personal tasks.” (Independent Report to the UK Chief Medical Officer, 2002).
Christmas can be a difficult and isolating time for a person with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) otherwise known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).
Even moderately severe cases of ME/CFS may be unable to work or carry out normal day-to-day activities. Some sufferers can loose their jobs, economic security and homes. The illness impacts the whole family.
Help us provide support for people with ME/CFS in the Canberra region by making a tax deductable donation now.
All donations, large or small, are gratefully received.
