Awareness Week Event: "Creative for a Second" Art Tour

Wednesday 13 May 2009

Creative For A SecondOur friends across the border, The NSW ME/CFS Society Inc, have a report on an event to celebrate ME/CFS Awareness Week. It's an exhibition of artwork, photographs and poetry created by people with ME/CFS, and is on display at The Waverley Library for two weeks.

The exhibition was launched yesterday (International ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia Awareness Day).

Guest speakers for the launch were Leigh Hatcher, ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Society of NSW Inc patron and author of I'm Not Crazy, I'm Just a Little Unwell, and Kirrily Anderson, author of Creative for a Second: creative works by people living with CFS/ME.

The exhibition has a website: www.cfsart.org.

The Waverley Library also has a web page about the exhibition.

Incidentally, the book Creative for a Second, which was the impetus for the exhibition, can be viewed online in its entirety here.
