Quality HealthCare Conversation – change of dateTuesday 30 June 2009
The date for the Health Consumers Alliance of South Australia's "Quality HealthCare Conversation" has changed – it will now be held on Thursday 20 August 2009. Here are updated documents for the event:
And here are the new details: Quality HealthCare Conversation Thursday 20 August 2009 11am – 3pm Do you have something to say about the quality of health care? Would you like to take part in a conversation about it with other health care consumers? The Australian Commission on Safety & Quality in Health Care has developed a proposed National Safety and Quality Framework for Australia in consultation with consumer organisations and other healthcare stakeholders. The framework is designed to guide action to improve the safety and quality of care in all healthcare settings over the next decade. The next step in developing the framework is to talk to consumers about their experiences and to capture the diversity of unique views and perspectives consumers have about the safety and quality of health care. The Health Consumers Alliance of South Australia (HCA) is assisting the Commission by hosting this conversation with health consumers. Health consumers, carers and members of the public are invited to a workshop on 9 July to participate in this vital conversation and to influence the national framework. If you would like to take part in this conversation please contact Charlotte Mudge at HCA on (08) 8223 1374 or at info@hcasa.asn.au to request a registration form. Places are limited for this workshop. Funding is available to support the participation of country SA health consumers. The Commission is seeking feedback on the proposed framework until 11 September 2009. For more details about the proposed National Safety and Quality Framework please visit www.qualityhealthcareconversation.org.au. Note: Out of respect for the disability access needs of people with chemical sensitivities and people experiencing breathing related allergies/illness, please avoid using perfume, aftershave, essential oils or other highly fragranced products when attending this event. HCA of SA Inc is funded by SA Health
