Southern Chronic Illness Links Networks meetingsTuesday 17 November 2009
The Institute / Network is an Australian not-for-profit charity dedicated to improving information and services for Australians with non-priority complex chronic conditions towards Australian better health management and living well. The Network's ethos is summed up by a quote from the World Health Organisation: "People should be empowered to promote their own health, interact effectively with health services and be active partners in managing disease." Here's a message from Cathie Powell, the Network's program coordinator: It's hard to believe that 2009 has almost gone by. Don't forget the Christmas break-up and the special meeting at Marion of the 19th. If you require any of the discussion sheets they are still available. We are also interested in your feedback for next years programs, please contact Cathie. Summer Projects: There will be little summer break at the Office with the upcoming elections. We will be working on advocacy and funding grant reports in preparation for policy review and changes. If you have anyone interested in your network or any students who are looking for summer field experience please refer them to us. We also need to update our service directories and strategic plans by February. Looking forward to catching up with you. Thank You, Cathie Powell Here's the list of Network meetings for November and December:
