South Australian election: postal voting
Tuesday 9 March 2010
South Australia will be holding its State Election on Saturday 20 March 2009.
If you are eligible to vote but unable to attend a polling booth due to ill-health, you can offer a postal vote.
The Electoral Commission of South Australia has this advice:

Postal voting
Postal voting is available to electors who are unable to attend a polling place on election day, including those who:
- will be working through the hours of polling
- are ill, infirm or disabled (or caring for someone who is)
- are in an advanced stage of pregnancy
- will be travelling throughout polling hours
- will not be within 8km of a polling place
- are members of a religious order that precludes attendance at a polling place
- are silent electors (address details suppressed on the electoral roll).
Application forms for postal voting are now available from your local post office or you can download a copy of the form below.
Don't delay! Applications must reach us by no later than 5pm, Thursday 18 March 2010

A scanned copy of your completed and signed postal voting application form can be emailed to ECSAComments@sa.gov.au
The scanned copy should be saved as a JPG, GIF or PDF file before it is emailed.
