Although Action for M.E. is not a religious charity, we know that many members rely on their faith for support and strength.
We asked the leading figures from a number of faiths and philosophies for their prayers and thoughts for M.E. Awareness Week. Click on the names below to read their contribution:

- Rabbi Geoffrey Shisler of the New West End Synagogue in Bayswater

- The Most Reverend Vincent Nichols, Catholic Archbishop of Westminster
- Yogvivek Swami of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden, the largest Hindu mandir in the Western hemisphere
Regular prayers for M.E. also take place through global multi-faith network World M.E. and Fibromyalgia Prayer and Meditation Day on the first Monday of every month, and on International M.E. Awareness Day on Wednesday 12 May, between noon and 12.30pm.
