The Quilt For The Prime Minister
There are 180,000 Australians with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
XMRV the 3rd Human Retrovirus has been Found in over 85% of people with CFS.
Murine Leukemia Viruses have been identifed in 86.5% of people with CFS.
The Australian Government is not making CFS a Priority Health Issue nor is it addressing the real and present Public Health Crisis.
A Quilt for Prime Minister Julia Gillard
This is your opportunity to have a voice and to ask our Prime Minister for Testing to be made available here in Australia as it is in other countries around the world and to ask for the immediate Funding of Research in Australia into XMRV and MLV'S.
The Victoria Org will be submitting a block for each of its 600+ members and each Block will be photographed and catalogued. Members are asked to submit a few lines on what it is like to live with ME CFS FM - a snapshot to accompany their block. These snapshots may be made under an assumed name in order toprotect your identity.
Let Your Story be Told
These Catalogues will accompany the Quilt and provide a deeper understanding to the Australian Public
Contact your State Organisation and Ask How They Can Help YOU
Each Australian State and Territory has been designated a colour.
Individuals who are not associated with any State run organisation are encouraged to participate anonomously with an assumed name for privacy. Please contact Find A Cure
Once the quilt is completed it will be displayed around Australia to raise public awareness.
ME/CFS Australia have kindly volunteered to Present the Quilt to the Prime Minister on behalf of us All. Any Australian Organisation who wishes to attend, please let us know so we can coordinate your efforts.
These Retroviruses have been implicated in Autism, Prostate Cancer and Fibromyalgia.
