Poll: Onset type in Fibromyalgia & CFSMonday 11 July 2011 From About.com's Adrienne Dellwo:
Poll: Onset Type in Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome What was the beginning of your illness like? I hear a lot of different stories from people with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Some cases come on suddenly, while others take years to fully develop into severe illness. Some people believe they know what triggered their illness, while others have no idea. My case was somewhat unusual -- I believe it crept up gradually for a few years, with a lot of secondary symptoms coming first, and then the severe pain coming on suddenly. The onset of these illnesses can be very different from each other, so this week you'll find two polls -- one for fibromyalgia, one for chronic fatigue syndrome -- so we can see the different trends. How did your illness begin? What do you think triggered it? Take the poll(s), and leave your comments below! Learn more or join the conversation!
