Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain LIFEFibromyalgia & Chronic Pain LIFE™ Magazine Announced

By Sy Kraft

The National Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Association (NFMCPA) today released the inaugural issue of Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain LIFE™, the bi-monthly digital magazine for, by and about fibromyalgia and related chronic pain communities.

“As a nonprofit organization, the NFMCPA strives to support patients, families, and friends in their search to find useful information and methods for improving their condition and coping with the difficulties associated with fibromyalgia and overlapping illnesses,” said Jan Favero Chambers, publisher and editor-in-chief and president and founder of the NFMCPA. “Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain LIFE is a demonstration of our commitment to provide a collective resource to make our voices and stories heard as well as a key vehicle for bringing new and important information to the fibromyalgia and chronic pain patient and medical communities.”

Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain LIFE is independently owned and published by the National Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Association, and has no connection to any other publications or organizations.

The inaugural issue features cover model Chelsea Christian, who was diagnosed with FM in 2006 and is using her modeling to raise awareness of this illness. The cover story, “Wrapped in Pain: The Naked Truth About Fibromyalgia,” is written by her mother, Juli Tedeschi, who shares a painful and thoughtful consideration of what may have contributed to her daughter’s life with FM.

Other features in the inaugural issue include:

  • Health: Could potatoes be affecting your FM symptoms?
  • How to prepare for your SSDI hearing
  • Ask the Expert: Back to school with fibro fog
  • Research: New study links fibro fog with balance deficit
