Martine McCutcheon and Ruth Langsford open up about their battle with chronic fatigue syndrome The Loose Women presenters have both struggled with illness and realised they needed to put their own wellbeing above their careers Martine McCutcheon and Ruth Langsford have both opened up about battling illness while juggling their busy careers. The Loose Women panelists were discussing how they overcame their fears about choosing their own mental health and physical wellbeing instead of working themselves ragged. Martine, 40, who has been candid in the past about her battle with ME, also known as chronic fatigue syndrome, said that it was only being diagnosed with the disorder that slowed her down.
