WINNER "I've Got An Absolute Passion For It!" – How Dream Team Helped This Man Battle A Devastating ConditionSaturday 3 August 2019
From UK newspaper The Sun's fantasy football website Dream Team:
WINNER “I’ve got an absolute passion for it!” – How Dream Team helped this man battle a devastating condition Robert Haden is an inspirational to everyone and is a Dream Team fanatic Not all superheroes wear capes. Robert Haden is testament to that. Leeds fan Robert suffers from Myalgic Encephalopathy (ME), or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and has been embroiled in a battle for illness benefits in the last couple of years. Despite his debilitating condition, which causes extreme tiredness, Robert has become one of the best Dream Team players around and is totally devoted to the game. “I’ve got an absolute passion for Dream Team,” he told us. “It’s the thing that gets me through most of my weeks when the football season is on. I never miss a weekend!” As well as finishing in the top 200 on our Season game twice, he even more impressively pocketed the £5k first prize on Dream Team Weekender last November with an incredible 81 points. And he’s planning to put that jackpot to good use. As well as renovating his living room, Robert has his eyes on an electric wheelchair which would allow him to become fully independent after his initial charity-funded wheelchair broke.
