There are restrictions on publication including: only members of the Society may present material for publication, and they must declare in their material submitted for publication if they have any vested interest in the therapy being promoted – eg, if they stand to gain monetarily or in any other way from its promotion. No material will be accepted directly from therapists or companies.
ME/CFS Australia (SA) Inc Management Committee will be ultimately responsible for any decision as to the publication or non-publication of material, and any correspondence should be directed to the secretary.
Editing of material presented for publication may occur, to ensure material is concise and readable by members and to ensure our compliance with legislation/regulation. Again, correspondence on this matter is to be directed to the secretary.
Any complaints about therapies or products mentioned are to be directed to the committee and addressed to the secretary.
No promotional advertising materials will be published. This includes pictures (unless essential to an explanation of a therapy), logos and brand names. The publication of any material identifying distributors or therapists (phone, fax, email, web addresses) does NOT carry any guarantee, support or approval by ME/CFS Australia (SA) Inc, but is simply an information service allowing for sharing to occur from a member to other members.
All changes in therapies should be discussed with your medial practitioner. Even seemingly ‘harmless’ treatments can interact with other medications or therapies in ways which could be harmful to you.
